Skills

Although I make extensive use of machine translation software, the results provided by these programs are far from accurate and they invariably need a qualified human translator with extensive knowledge of the language to review their output. See below the links to some of the software packages I have experience with for translating.

Currently, I'm mostly focusing on website translation and localization, which involves the batch translation of both visible content and XHTML code (Meta Tags, Alt Tags, etc.) in web pages. This type of work also involves the adaptation of all scripting components, both client-based or processed by the server (JavaScript, Active Server Pages, PHP, Perl, etc.).

Most of the technical translations I make at the present time are related to WordPress. I'm part of the WordPress Translation Team, contributing to the on-going translation of core files to the Spanish, Portuguese and Italian versions.

I have also translated from English to Spanish the WP Accessibility plugin that addresses a number of common accessibility problems present in WordPress Themes, and the Events Calendar plugin a PHP Open Source add-on that implements event planning, sales of tickets and community submissions on websites.
